About the Role
As a Media & Outreach Associate at The Youth Kathak Festival, you will play a key role in developing and executing outreach strategies that amplify our presence across media, influencers, and communities. You’ll manage communications, run promotional campaigns, and coordinate with media houses, PR agencies, and sponsors to expand our reach. This is a unique opportunity to contribute strategically while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Your work will help position TYKF as a leading platform that blends tradition with contemporary culture and builds meaningful connections with the youth.
Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
Good negotiation and relationship management skills.
Experience in outreach, PR, or communications is a strong advantage.
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with cold calling, emailing, and managing partner communications.
Key Responsibilities
Be a part of strategy making and execute the overall outreach plan for the festival and product launches along with the team.
Coordinate with media, PR houses, influencers, and outreach partners to promote events and initiatives
Communicate with potential sponsors and partners.
Run cold calling and email campaigns to engage with partners and media
Maintain databases of media contacts, outreach partners, and sponsors
Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, design, event management) to ensure consistent messaging
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
About the Company
The Youth Kathak Festival (TYKF) was founded in January 2023 with a simple goal to create a space where youth artists can celebrate innovation in classical art. Our debut at the iconic Bandra Fort, Mumbai brought together a buzzing crowd, a powerful lineup, and a whole lot of heart.
We’re a group of youth leaders who love the classical, but aren’t afraid to question, explore, and experiment. TYKF is where tradition meets innovation, a space where classical art is reimagined through new stories, fresh ideas, and the energy of a new generation.
This festival isn’t just about performances. It’s about conversations, community, and making classical art more accessible, inclusive, and relatable. We’re building something that speaks to now, while staying rooted in where we come from.
