The Youth Kathak Festival (TYKF) was created as a platform to uplift young artists in the classical arts space and offer opportunities to perform without bias, stereotypes, or unnecessary pressures that artists often encounter in traditional environments. At its core, TYKF strives to remain a judgement-free space where artists can focus purely on growth, the joy of performing, and express freely.
Emerging Artists Showcase an
initiative by The Youth Kathak Festival
The Emerging Artist Initiative invites young and upcoming artists to apply for a chance to perform on the TYKF stage during our festivals. Through this initiative, TYKF aims to support artists who may not have access to venues or production resources on their own, while also providing a meaningful audience for those beginning their journey or premiering new work for the first time. It is our way of nurturing new voices in the classical arts and helping them take confident, visible steps into their professional careers.
Please note: The Emerging Artist Initiative is intended for early-stage artists who are still building performance experience and are seeking a platform to present, produce, curate, and explore their work before an audience. It is not aimed at established artists or those seeking commissioned performance opportunities.
